blogging from my bed under the influence of morphine and prayers

Imagine this look…

An off-the-shoulder thigh-length gown. Thigh-length hold-up stockings.

Now a reality check.

That’s what I’ve been wearing! The backless off-the-shoulder gown was what I wore for surgery. The stockings are still on to minimise the risk of Deep Vein Thrombosis. I daren’t describe the disposable pants: that’s too much for even the most hardened of readers!

I have survived the surgery physically although my dignity has taken a bit of a battering! I am reminded that dignity is more about the way we treat others than something inherent within us, that’s being dignified.

I have been acutely aware of the prayerful support of many people. Now I will have to wait a couple of days before they turn me on.

Blessings to you from my hospital bed via my mobile phone… which hopefully explains to you the poor formatting and lack of piccies (trust me, you don’t want to see them anyway).
