bloggerel explained (sort of)

I am writing this bloggerel and creating this bloggage in a brief lull in what will undoubtedly be a busy day. Even as I have written that first sentence I realise that you may well not know what I mean by “bloggerel” and “bloggage” (although I am delighted to say that my voice recognition software has just recognised both words!).

Bloggerel is the content of my blog. They are the words and drivel that I spew forth on any given day and on any given subject. The word is one of my own creations (you saw it here first) and is a merger of “blog” and “doggerel” has an attempt to express the nature of what I’m writing.

Bloggage (you saw it first here) relates to any given blog entry in its entirety. I suppose I could use ‘blog entry’ but bloggage seems to feel better as a descriptive word that brings together “blog” and “baggage” or even “blockage”!

So now, like the judge after a long submission by a lawyer, although you are none the wiser you are better informed. what’s your bloggerel like? I don’t necessarily mean your own blog content. What I mean is the way in which the real you is poured out onto an unsuspecting world. This may be through words, gestures, facial expressions, silence, e-mails, letters, phone calls… In so many different ways we interact with others and in doing so reveal something of ourselves to them. Each day, each hour, or even each interaction could be seen as a separate bloggage – a small statement about ourselves – that is posted on her own personal wall in the cyberspace of life.

if that’s all a bit metaphysical or philosophical for you, how about this:

if you can't read it properly, click for the link!

I think Chris King deserves a medal or a promotion! That little bloggage will have made a wonderful impact on Lily Robinson aged 3 1/2.

Be blessed, be a blessing

**STOP PRESS** Sainsburys are now apparently re-naming their Tiger Bread as Giraffe Bread. If that’s true, and not a brilliant hoax, then it’s a brilliant piece of marketing!
