I have just been shocked to see that I haven’t created any bloggages this year! It’s just not good enough, is it?
There are reasons for this – one is that I have been doing some training as a Pastoral Supervisor and that has taken a lot of my time and creative energy that might otherwise have been devoted to writing for you. If you’d like to see what that’s about you can see my Pastoral Supervision website here (anticipating that I pass, which is still not decided at the time of writing).
Another reason for the relative silence is that I spend some of my creative energy on creating sermons and resources for the amazing church I serve – Mutley Baptist Church in Plymouth, Devon. Being Minister of this church is a wonderful experience and it takes a lot of my time and energy through the week.
I also spend other time and energy on learning and performing magical illusions (and guess what, there’s a website for that too!)
But, if I am honest, they are all excuses. I have just got out of the habit of reflecting and writing bloggages. I don’t feel any guilt about that, it’s just how things have been.

But in June I have the privilege of having 3 months sabbatical leave from my ministry. And my focus for those 3 months is to renew my writing, including bloggages. I am going on a week-long poetry-writing retreat as part of it, which I am looking forward to immensely as I have not written any pomes for a long time (you can see some of my old pomes in the ‘fun and funny stuff drop down menu above’). I also have the bones of a novel that I started writing a long time ago that I might have a go at fleshing out…
It may be that inspiration strikes before June and I write some bloggages again, but if not you can anticipate some more of the same old stuff sometime soon.
Sorry / not sorry!
And, to give you some homework, in what creative ways do you express what you believe? Do you share it with anyone?
Be blessed, be a blessing
