Since deciding to put together a book of my pomes (sic) something has happened.
Well, actually, two things.
One is that our older daughter, Katherine, suggested a number of possible titles for the book, demanding a percentage of the profits if one of them is used. I do have a title but thought you’d like to see what she came up with:
Limernicks
Minstrely Minister
Bold Lines from Bald Times
The Hums of Stew
Pome and Away
Poetry by Lear (No Not That One)
Play it by Lear
I have to admit they’re quite good, but I am sticking with my chosen title which is… (cue Eastenders drums cutting in just to build anticipation for the future reveal).
I will let you know the title when the book is ready to be released into the wild.
The other strange thing is that I have started writing lots more pomes. I was surprised just how many I have written over the years and that there were already enough to justify a book, but in the past couple of days lots more pomes have flowed from my imagination. It’s almost as if the hope of a home has enticed them to scamper from the dark recesses of my mind and frolic into the pages of [title redacted].
What hope entices you?
Be blessed, be a blessing
